Ayoub Elmohamedi

Web applications. Systems underneath.

I'm Ayoub, a developer based in Morocco. I build web applications and spend time understanding what sits underneath them: servers, databases, and operating systems. Some of my work is practical, some is for learning. I try to be clear about what works, what is unfinished, and what I learned along the way.

Featured Product Projects

Web applications and business tools built end-to-end or in focused engineering collaborations. Click any entry for the complete technical case study.

01

Darway

Collaborative

Role: Socket.IO Chat, WAF/ModSecurity, Protection Logic & CI/CD

A full-stack rental platform built collaboratively. My focus centered on developing the real-time communication service with Socket.IO, hardening the perimeter with WAF and ModSecurity rules, implementing request protection logic, and managing automated testing pipelines via GitHub Actions.

VisionPro

Work in Progress

Role: Technical Setup, Core Data Fetching & Solution Brainstorming

An automated reconciliation system being developed in collaboration with a Morocco-based business owner. The goal is to compare food and goods served at counters against point-of-sale cashier records to calculate daily served totals and flag audit discrepancies.

Stride

Completed

Role: Full-Stack Application Ownership

A complete HR certification exam preparation platform (SHRM-CP/SCP & HRCI / PHR) featuring structured modules, timed exam simulations, spaced-repetition flashcards, private document synthesis, and Pip—an AI study coach powered by Google Gemini.

02 / SYSTEMS

Systems & Low-Level Projects

Projects focused on POSIX primitives, event multiplexing, database storage layout, and Unix process lifecycles.

04

sqly

Work in Progress

Role: Sole Creator & Systems Researcher

An educational SQL database engine built to demystify internals: parsing SQL syntax, serializing records into fixed-size storage pages, navigating slotted pages, and traversing B-tree / B+ tree index structures.

Webserv

Completed

Role: Co-developer (42 Curriculum)

A high-performance HTTP/1.1 server developed from scratch in C++ using nonblocking sockets and multiplexed I/O. Handles continuous client connections, HTTP request parsing, CGI execution pipelines, file uploads, and configurable virtual hosts without blocking the process.

Background & Technologies

I am a software developer based in Morocco. I studied at 1337, part of the international 42 Network. The peer-to-peer curriculum immersed me in C, Unix systems programming, POSIX network protocols, memory management, and building fundamental tools from scratch without third-party frameworks.

Alongside systems programming, I build complete modern web applications. I care deeply about understanding the full path of an execution: how a user action in a browser translates into an HTTP packet, how a socket server polls for events without blocking, how storage engines lay out records into fixed-size pages on disk, and how to protect applications with sound security architecture.

My goal is to write software that is honest, fast, and maintainable. When a project is in progress or experimental, I document its exact boundaries rather than claiming unsupported benchmarks or inflated production statistics.
